“SMELL OF SUCCESS” Duo Exhibition 🌟
Join us as we warm up our soon-to-be-launched temporary L’Espace with the “Smell of Success” debut duo exhibition by Mediatrice Uwamahoro and Derrick Mugisha!
#meet Derrick Mugisha, a self-taught deaf visual artist, whose passion and motivation for art were encouraged by his mother and a pencil, since childhood. Derrick has done most of his studies between Uganda and Rwanda. Starting in 2018, he started selling his artworks in different places, to support his school and family. Alongside other passionate artists, Derrick is graduating from @ubuhanzi this year and is so much looking forward to keep exploring possibilities and opportunities at their best, through his work.
Mediatrice Uwamahoro, also known as Teta, is a Rwandan artist who challenges herself to create art collages and sculptures from different materials such as paper. Since her childhood, she has always excelled in competitions, which predicted her 2022 participation in @ubuhanzi where she was selected for an incubation program that has helped her to polish her skills and career professionally. “My dream is to keep sharing my work with the world” ~ @teta_media_uwamahoro
They both consider this first exhibition a huge step, an exciting achievement, and a ‘smell of success’ in their journey! Karibu !
