KINYARWANDA PUBLIC CLASS

1. What is the class time and location?

The next public class will run Monday and Wednesday 6:30 to 8:00pm in person at Inzora Rooftop Cafe. The course runs for 8 weeks and the next course will start Monday, October 10th.

2. How can I sign up for the course?

You can sign up by completing the online form. 

3. What is the cost of the course and how can I pay? 

Fees for the course are $150 (160,000 RWF) which includes tuition, the course book and course audio. Your place on the course will be confirmed upon payment. Payment can be made by MoMo (0783692270 – Katherine Uher) or by PayPal in USD or EUR. 

To pay using PayPal follow the link for USD paypal.me/KathrinGerner/150 or for EUR paypal.me/KathrinGernerEUR/151 and be sure NOT to check the “Paying for a good or service?” box. Checking this box results in a 3% fee, which we will then need to collect from you.

4. Who teaches the course and what methodology do you use? 

Our experienced teachers are native speakers and classes are structured to make use of modern, interactive learning techniques. The course textbook and accompanying aids and materials have been developed by three certified language teachers 

5. What subjects does the course cover? 

This is an introductory Kinyarwanda course. We have developed a syllabus that includes useful and practical language for students. The following subjects will be introduced: 

  • Greetings
  • Classroom Language
  • Numbers
  • Countries
  • Personal Information
  • Occupations
  • Families
  • Days of the Week
  • Months
  • Time
  • Directions
  • Vegetables & Fruit
  • Market Language
  • Basic Restaurant Language
  • Home Objects & Cleaning Language

Each class is structured to include many opportunities for each student to practice using the language. 

6. What is the class size?

Five students are needed to run the class and the maximum class size is eight.

8. Can the class be delivered online?

Yes, the course materials have been adapted to allow for delivery of the course online via Zoom.  Please contact us by e-mail at kate.uher@gmail.com for more details.

9. Is there a Level 2 course?

At the moment, we only offer Level 1.
