How do you translate into words what is out of reach?
After the Triennial 🎭 of Kigali, Paris, and Saint-Malo, Dorcy Rugamba returns to Rwanda 🇷🇼 to present her last text, accompanied by 🎶 musician Majnun: “Hewa Rwan: Letter to Absentees”.
In this work, which is both a love letter to those who are no longer there and a hymn to life, a part of the worship of the ancestors, Dorcy Rugamba addresses her father, mother, and all those absent.
He says what he saw and learned from them—the child and the young man he was—and the time it took them to accept the unacceptable.
Don’t miss this upsetting musical, which is playing at the CCFR and then at the KCEV.
