As part of the @jaba_events experience and in partnership with @passpass__, our venue partner @lespacerw is hosting a session delving into the role of social justice in the creative industries.
Emma Nzioka aka @cocoem__ has a unique musical journey and uses her reach to tackle and discuss broader challenges and opportunities that African artists navigate, from cultural expression to social activism.

To provide context, African artists continue to face significant barriers despite the global impact of their work. The Schengen Area alone generates over €45 billion annually from African tourists, yet many African artists struggle with visibility and opportunities. In recent years, over 1,000 tours by African artists were canceled, and some tragically lost their lives due to external factors.
